What Reiki Is
Reiki is a gentle healing art that was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 1800s in Japan. The word Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy. It is the energy that flows around and through everything, including the human body. Reiki is not affiliated with any organized religion or religious sect. It is simply the life force energy that is always around us and in us.

What To Expect During A Reiki Session
During a Reiki session, the practitioner lays hands on your body or hovers just above your body in your field of energy. As the practitioner moves their hands around your body, your energy becomes balanced. This helps both the physical and energetic bodies to relax and begin to heal.
You will remain fully clothed except for shoes, glasses, and hat.
Normally, the session is carried out on a Reiki table. If you are unable to lie on your back, it can be done in a chair.
Cyndi Puckett, RMT, couples her Reiki and Medical Intuitive skills to help you pinpoint and heal in all areas of your life; mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
You can expect to relax, you may even fall asleep. And that’s ok!
You may also experience periods of warmth or coolness or tingling. Some people feel no sensations at the time but notice a decrease in pain and an increase in mental clarity.
Reiki sessions at The Healing Space are done on any age level from infant to 100+ years.
How Does Reiki Work?
Your energy body knows what it needs. Reiki is pulled by your energy, through the practitioner into your body to balance your chakras or energy centers. This circuit of universal life force energy creates a space for your physical body to begin healing and to help create mental clarity.
